This Elderly Woman’s Wisdom Will Encourage and Inspire You

This elderly woman’s words of wisdom will encourage and inspire you. She shares a powerful message about life’s many seasons and navigating them when they are less-than-pleasant and even downright painful. Watch the short but powerful clip to hear her moving, uplifting words of wisdom.

Sadly, life is not always an entirely delightful experience. Not every situation you face will make you feel warm and fuzzy. In fact, there will be instances that will hurt and result in immense heartache. I’m sorry if I burst your bubble if you, for some reason, thought otherwise. But let’s be honest, it was either going to be me or life because we all do and will encounter circumstances that are unpleasant and painful.

Anyone who has ever endured a challenging and gut-wrenching situation knows all too well that they can often feel as if they will never end. However, eventually, those seasons pass, which is always hard to remember and consider when in the middle of it. However, a clip posted on social media reminds us of the hope and belief we can hold onto when we’re in a painful, difficult season.

In the video, the older woman shares some words of wisdom and advice that we should all remember and implement whenever we encounter difficulties or trials.

“We should not live in fear or panic over the season we’re in because there’s a new season right around the corner, right around the corner,” she says. “The Bible says in several places, ‘It came to pass.’ And I believe that, I believe everything comes to pass because I’ve been through so many seasons in my life.”

Later in the clip, the woman stresses avoiding panicking or worrying when encountering challenging seasons. She also mentions how fear and panic are popular tools in the evil one’s arsenal against Christians.

“The devil uses fear to absolutely war against us, to torment us,” she said. “God is not a god of torment. So, y’all have a wonderful evening. Just rejoice in the fact that you’re still alive. You may be in a bad season right now, but you’re fixing to come out of it.”

1 Thessalonians 5:1 “But of the times and the seasons, brothers, you have no need that I write to you.”

A Prayer to Take a Step of Faith When You Feel Convicted | Your Daily Prayer

Sometimes, the hardest choice is the right one. Whether you're navigating decisions as a parent, spouse, friend, or leader, there are moments when following God’s direction feels uncomfortable—or even countercultural. But Romans 12:2 reminds us: true transformation and clarity come when we renew our minds in God's truth, not in worldly trends. In today’s devotional and prayer, we explore the tension between conviction and conformity, and how leaning into God’s Word gives us the courage to walk forward in obedience—even when the path feels uncertain. 📖 “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind...” — Romans 12:2 Let this moment remind you that God's will is always good, pleasing, and perfect, even when it challenges you to step out in faith. Let’s Pray Together Lord God, You are the way, and Your way is perfect. Help me not to conform to the world but to be renewed daily in Your Word. Give me courage to follow through when I feel convicted, trusting that Your plan is good, pleasing, and perfect. Thank You for guiding me and walking with me as I take steps of faith. In Jesus’ name, Amen. 📖 Today’s Bible Reading Romans 12:2 (NIV) “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind…” Conviction is an invitation from the Holy Spirit to trust God's way over popular opinion. Renewing your mind through Scripture clears away confusion and strengthens discernment. Faith isn't always easy—but it is always worth it. God equips us to take hard steps of obedience. God’s plan is always for your good, even if it challenges your comfort.

Lord, Help Me Reflect, Not Regret | Your Nightly Prayer

As the seasons of life change—graduations, career shifts, relationship transitions—it’s natural to look back. But sometimes, that backward glance turns into regret that weighs down the soul. In tonight’s prayer and devotional, we're reminded that God does not call us to live in shame, but to walk in freedom, healing, and forward-looking reflection. Scripture tells us in Romans 8:1, “There is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.” Regret chains us to what we cannot change. But Jesus redeems even our worst missteps, offering not just forgiveness but transformation. Through Christ, our past doesn’t define us—our Savior does. Let this moment of reflection lead to growth, not shame. Lay down guilt. Pick up grace. God is not finished with your story. 📖 Tonight’s Scripture Romans 8:1 (NIV) “Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.” 🙏 Let’s Pray Together Heavenly Father, Thank You for walking with me through every season of life. Tonight, I lay down regret and shame at the foot of the cross, where Jesus paid for all my sins and failures. Teach me to reflect with honesty and hope, not condemnation. Restore what was lost, bring new life where I feel broken, and guide me by Your Spirit into seasons of growth and grace. In Jesus’ name, Amen. 🧠 Three Things to Meditate Upon Where regret lingers, God invites healing. What would it look like to surrender that pain to Him tonight? Shame is not your name. Replace lies with truth from Romans 8 and walk boldly in grace. Your mistakes do not define your future. Through Christ, every misstep can become part of your redemption story. 📝 This week, journal one past regret you've been carrying. Turn it into a prayer—ask God to bring wisdom and renewal from that moment. 📖 Read through Romans 8. Joy in the Middle of the Struggle | Your Nightly Prayer

Are you walking through grief, illness, anxiety, or relational pain? Life often weighs heavy—but God's joy can still rise within you. This evening prayer and devotional reflection draws from Nehemiah 8:10, reminding us that true strength doesn't come from avoiding hardship—it comes from embracing God's joy in the midst of it. In this video, you'll reflect on: How God’s joy differs from temporary happiness Why choosing joy in suffering is a spiritual act of faith What the Bible says about finding peace and strength through trials A prayer to help you release the weight of today and rest in God's joy James told us to “count it all joy” in trials. Peter described our salvation as a source of “inexpressible and glorious joy.” Tonight, we echo those truths—anchored in God’s Word and spoken in prayer. 📖 Scripture Reading: Nehemiah 8:10 “Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.” 🙏 Evening Prayer Father, Thank You for offering joy that doesn’t depend on my circumstances. Even when I’m tired, afraid, or overwhelmed, You are near. Help me to lean into the strength You provide, to trust You when things don’t make sense, and to choose joy—not as denial, but as dependence on Your Spirit. Tonight, I rest in Your presence, knowing that joy is still possible with You. Amen. 💭 Meditation Prompts for Reflection Think about a time you allowed someone you love to struggle for their growth. How does this image help you trust that God may be doing the same for you right now? When you feel like you're at the end of your rope, remember this truth: Christ is the knot that holds you secure.

Lost at 19, Found at 48: My Return to God

At 19 years old, I walked away from my faith. For over 20 years, I battled alcoholism and lived a life far from God. At 43, I found the strength to get sober, but it wasn’t until I turned 48 that I truly found peace—I found God again. This is my testimony. A story of brokenness, redemption, and the undeniable grace of God. If you’ve ever felt lost, hopeless, or too far gone, I hope my journey shows you that it’s never too late to turn back to Him.

Students Encouraged to Display Their Faith on National Bring Your Bible to School Day

Students are encouraged to display their faith on National Bring Your Bible to School Day. For those who have put their faith and trust in Jesus Christ, it's a day to bring God's Word with them as they head into the classroom. Watch the short but powerful clip to learn more about National Bring Your Bible to School Day.

The world is a cold, cruel and dark place. This is often especially true for those who rely upon and trust in Jesus Christ's guidance, direction and protection. Followers of Christ can be and typically are mocked and ridiculed in many areas of society, including on popular social media platforms and, sadly, even in the news, on television and in Hollywood movies.

But despite that, the Bible makes it perfectly clear that there is power in numbers. We are stronger when we are together, especially when it comes to standing up against the evil forces in this world. Jesus, in the New Testament book of Matthew, states, "For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there I am among them." That is the idea behind National Bring Your Bible to School Day.

Oct. 2nd, designated as Bring Your Bible to School Day, "is an annual celebration that empowers Christians to live out their faith." According to Focus on the Family, more than 70,000 schools and nearly 1.3 million people participated in 2024 National Bring Your Bible to School Day.

Matthew 28:19-20 "Go then, and make disciples of all nations, giving them baptism in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Teaching them to keep all the rules, which I have given you: and see, I am ever with you, even to the end of the world."

Parents’ Emotional Reaction to Daughter’s Pregnancy News Will Melt Your Heart

The reaction of two parents to their daughter’s pregnancy news will melt your heart. Be sure to grab the tissues before watching this clip because you will most definitely need them. Watch the short but tear-jerking clip to see how a mother and a father reacted to learning about their daughter’s pregnancy news.

Being a parent is easily one of life’s biggest blessings. Many would argue, and I think rightfully so, that it is, in fact, the biggest. There is nothing like raising children and watching them grow, learn and explore. Seeing them take their first step or hear them say their first word are moments you’ll never forget and cherish for as long as you live.

However, as great as being a parent is, sadly, there are some people who want nothing more than to be a mother or a father, and it’s not possible. For one reason or another, having biological children is not in the cards for some couples, which can be incredibly painful and heartbreaking.

A clip posted on YouTube shows what happened after two people learned they were going to be grandparents. Watching these two open their gift and slowly realizing what the present symbolizes is everything.  Their honest and emotional reaction will likely bring even the most stoic and unemotional person to tears.

The text in the video mentions that the couple’s daughter had struggled with infertility for more than a decade, 13 years to be exact.

You can see how happy they are for their daughter and to be grandparents. It’s clear that they wanted their daughter to become a parent so badly, even when it appeared that it would not happen for her.

This is a beautiful moment that none of them will ever forget!

Proverbs 17:6 “Children’s children are the crown of old men; and the glory of children are their fathers.”

He Didn’t Want to Be Recorded But Then Came the Sweetest Moment

He did not want to be recorded, but then the sweetest, most tear-jerking moment occurred. The young man made his desire not to be filmed completely clear to his mother, but what happened next will likely cause you to brush away tears from your eyes. Watch the short but sweet clip to see the young man’s initial response to the camera and how his mood quickly changes.

Technological advancements have impacted and touched every part of our lives. With a few clicks and swipes, we can order a meal or even a week’s worth of groceries. Social media platforms allow us to easily communicate with people on the other side of the country and the world. News apps provide us with the latest, most up-to-date information possible.

Oh, technology also allows us to capture and record our every waking moment if we want. For some reason, there are people who choose to do just that and post the footage on social media for all to see. What would some people do if they didn’t have social media to post their entire lives on for their digital friends?

In a clip posted on social media, a young man approaches a car and sees his mother filming him. He does not want to be on camera (I can completely understand), and his hands in front of his face make that entirely clear. However, his annoyance instantly subsides once he gets in the car and looks into the backseat.

The young man’s older brother, who has been away at college for the past couple of weeks, pops up to ask, “How was practice?”

The young man leaps into the backseat, into his brother’s arms. To make the moment even more precious, the younger brother begins crying, happy that his brother has returned home for a visit.

Hilariously, the video ends with the young man asking his older brother, “Want to play some Fortnite?”

Proverbs 17:17 “A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for adversity.”

Your Identity Isn't in Accomplishment | Your Nightly Prayer

In a world that equates worth with productivity and identity with success, it's easy to feel like you're only as valuable as your latest achievement. But tonight’s devotional and prayer gently remind us of a timeless truth: **you are not what you do—**you are who God says you are. We chase checklists, accolades, and approval, yet still feel empty. That’s because our souls were never meant to be fueled by applause—they were meant to be filled by grace. Scripture says your identity is rooted in being a child of God, not a human “doing.” Even on days when you accomplish nothing by the world’s standards, you are deeply loved, fully known, and eternally valuable in Christ. 📖 Tonight’s Bible Verse Ephesians 2:10 (NIV) “For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” 🙏 Let’s Pray Together Dear Lord, When I feel like I’m not doing enough, remind me that my value isn’t measured by productivity. Thank You for loving me simply because I’m Yours. Help me find rest from the pressure to perform, and root my identity in Your unchanging truth. Teach me to live from a place of grace instead of striving. In Jesus’ name, Amen. 🧠 Three Things to Meditate Upon You are God’s masterpiece—already accepted, already loved. Productivity doesn’t define your worth—God’s Word does. Rest is not laziness—it’s worship. Slow down and be with Him.

A Prayer for the Messy Moments of Life | Your Daily Prayer

Life doesn’t always feel tidy. Some days, our homes, relationships, and hearts feel overwhelmed by mess—physically, emotionally, or spiritually. But the beauty of grace is this: God doesn’t wait for our lives to be cleaned up to meet with us. He draws near to us in the mess, reminding us we are still loved, seen, and held. 📖 “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” — Psalm 34:18 📖 “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” — 2 Corinthians 12:9 📖 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” — Matthew 11:28 Today’s prayer invites you to lay down perfection and receive peace. Your mess doesn’t disqualify you—it might just be the very place God wants to meet you.
