Woman with Dementia Stuns Everyone When She Sits at Piano and Plays Beautifully

A woman with dementia stunned everyone when she sat down at a piano and played beautifully. Despite her condition, the woman put on a jaw-dropping and magnificent musical performance. Watch the short but powerful clip to listen to and see how the woman battling dementia played the piano. You likely will not believe your eyes or ears!

Currently, it’s still impossible to stop, slow down or even pause the passage of time. Although many may try, no one has yet found a way to accomplish that goal. Despite our objections, time continues marching forward with every passing second, minute, hour and day. So, that means aging is just a natural process, and there is nothing you or I can do about that. We will all continue to get older, even if we do not acknowledge our birthdays.

Sadly, while aging is a process we all endure, it is often not fun or enjoyable. That’s especially true when it starts to rob us or our loved ones of abilities we once took for granted. When people reach an advanced age, they might lose their ability to walk, speak, or even have trouble recalling memories, which is always painful to see a loved one endure. That’s why a clip posted on YouTube of an older woman playing a piano will likely bring you to tears.

The woman in the video has dementia. Sadly, she says she no longer remembers being able to play the instrument. However, she sits down in front of the piano and is told to “just try.” What happens next is mind-blowing!

Right before she plays, she says, “I don’t know it.” However, when her hands touch the keys, it’s like it all comes back to her. Her hands remember exactly how to play the instrument.

Even after putting on that outstanding display, the woman still says, “I don’t really know it.”  As the video’s narrator points out, this clip indicates that music is powerful, and can and does have an enormous impact on our brains.

Mother's ‘Toy Story’ Style Farewell Is the Sweetest College Sendoff

A mother's "Toy Story"-style farewell is the sweetest college sendoff. What this mom put together right before her son headed off to college will have you wiping away a tear or two or three. Watch the short but heartwarming clip to see the tear-jerking display one mother set up for her son.

Every parent will agree that being called a mother or a father is the best, most important title you'll ever receive. Parents love and adore their children. Moms and dads don't refer to their youngsters as their pride and joy for no reason. It's one of those old, worn-out, cliché sayings that is actually true.

It's because of that immense, overwhelming and unconditional love that makes a child leaving to go to college such an emotional and even painful event. That child is no longer under mom and dad's roof and is out from under their parents' watchful eyes and protection. Anything can happen to that child when they are out in the world, and mom and dad will not be right there to keep them safe and make everything better. In a clip posted on YouTube, one mother created a unique way for her son to say goodbye to his childhood as he entered a new phase of his life.

In the video, the young man walks down the hallway and is greeted by his childhood toys and stuffed animals. They are all lined up against the way, preparing to say goodbye as the young man heads off to college.

In addition to his childhood toys, several pictures of him as a youngster have been placed on the wall. The young man is literally walking through his childhood memories, getting a chance to reflect upon where he's been and look at his childhood one last time.

As one person in the video mentions, the mother could not have set that all up without bawling her eyes out. While it was a lovely, sweet thing for her to do, it must have been nearly impossible to complete without getting emotional.

Proverbs 22:6 "If a child is trained up in the right way, even when he is old, he will not be turned away from it."

It is Written

This was the response of the Lord Jesus to the Devil when Satan said, "If you are the son of God..." The first three words from the Lord Jesus were "It is written..." What should be our response when the enemy says something similar to us?

Sacred Work in Ordinary Moments | Your Nightly Prayer

Not all ministry happens on a stage. Not all purpose is tied to a platform. Sometimes the most sacred work is done in the laundry room, on the drive to school, during quiet conversations, or while cleaning up messes no one else sees. “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.” — Colossians 3:23 In today’s reflection and prayer, we invite you to see your everyday moments as worship. The chores, the caregiving, the errands—they aren’t wasted. When done with love, they become acts of sacred service to God. He sees it all, and He is present in it all.

The glory of God?

The glory of God??? It’s all around us! Why then is it so hard to keep that in the forefront of our minds throughout the day? #toughquestionsforgod #questioneverything #questionoftheday #questionjesus #jesusquestions #faithquestions

The Sweet Bond Between High School Runners and The ‘Popsicle Lady’

A sweet bond exists between a group of high school runners and a woman nicknamed the "popsicle lady." It's an unexpected connection, but one that is sure to bring a tear or two to your eye. Watch the short but tear-jerking video to hear why the connection between the runners and the woman is so special.

Although most people do not consider exercising particularly enjoyable, getting a certain amount of activity daily remains necessary for everyone. Even avid runners don't actually love running; they enjoy the feeling that comes after the run: the endorphins and sense of accomplishment.

Nevertheless, people still run all the time. There are entire sports where all the participants do is run, such as track and field events and cross country. Sadly, unlike other sports, the athletes in those sports do not get nearly as much fanfare as basketball, baseball or football. However, in a clip posted on YouTube, one woman shows a group of young runners appreciation and attention for their efforts in a unique and sweet way.

While training, a group of high school cross-country runners in Minnesota has a favorite route. It's the one that takes them by Sandy Bass's house, or the popsicle lady, as the young runners call her. That's because she treats all of them to a delicious frozen treat every time they come by her house. As the video points out, this has been happening for over a decade.

The kids absolutely love stopping by Sandy's house for a momentary break from a long run. For Sandy, it's about much more than handing out popsicles to youngsters. Sadly, Sandy's husband, Tim, died in April.

"When the kids started coming and ringing the doorbell and gave me a reason to get dressed, maybe some days," she said. "You'll probably get me crying now. It's everything."

What a beautiful story about a woman showing kindness to others, but who says she is getting much more in return.

Ephesians 4:32 "And be kind to one another, full of pity, having forgiveness for one another, even as God in Christ had forgiveness for you."

Forrest Frank Reveals How God Led Him Into Christian Music

Forrest Frank revealed how God led him into Christian music. The popular Christian music artist shared his powerful testimony, which shows God at work in his life, leading and directing him where to go. Watch the short but powerful clip to hear how Forrest was told he would make Christian music.

We all want a clear mission and plan for our lives, a stated purpose and a direction. That makes complete and total sense. Who would want to live an aimless and directionless life, where nothing of value or worth is accomplished? That sounds like a recipe for a horrible, miserable existence, one in which we would constantly be questioning ourselves.

Thankfully, the Lord does have a will and plan for every one of us. However, finding out what that plan and the direction for our lives is much easier said than done. Getting to that point could mean some stumbling, falling and failing, or it could not. In a clip posted on YouTube, Forrest discusses the unique and shocking way the Lord informed him that he was to go into the Christian music world and make music.

“A girl came up to me in church, and she’s like, ‘Hey, I had a dream of, I don’t know you,’” he said. “She’s from a different city. She’s like, ‘Hey, God gave me a dream about someone named Forrest Frank, and a lot of it was about this prophetic thing about, ‘Hey, I think you’re supposed to do Christian music. And you’re going to, like, change the game,” he recalled she told him. “This is before I ever did any Christian music.”

What a powerful moment! It demonstrates how God uses others to communicate his message and plans for our lives.

We may never experience something like Forrest did, but God has a plan and purpose for our lives.

Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, said the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.”

Who Was Methuselah in the Bible?

Methuselah: The Longest‑Lived Man in the Bible — A Legacy of Longevity and God’s Patience Methuselah is a fascinating figure in Scripture, known primarily for living an astonishing 969 years—the longest lifespan recorded in the Bible. According to Genesis 5:21–27, Methuselah was the son of Enoch, fathered Lamech when he was 187, then lived another 782 years before his death at 969 years old. He was a key link in the lineage from Adam to Noah—connecting the early patriarchs and playing a symbolic role between the pre‑Flood world and the post‑Flood era. His name—possibly meaning “when he dies, judgment shall come”—may hint at the connection between his death and the onset of the Flood, suggesting divine timing. Some scholars propose that Methuselah’s exceptional lifespan symbolizes God’s patience and mercy, giving humanity extended time to repent before judgment. Others assert that his age may be literal, metaphorical, or the result of ancient symbolic or numeric systems. Despite the mystery surrounding the specifics, Methuselah’s place in biblical history underscores themes of faithfulness, generational legacy, and the unfolding of God’s redemptive plan. What stands out to you most about Methuselah’s life? Drop a comment—whether it’s his longevity, his place in history, or what his story reveals about God’s patience.

Teacher’s Selfless Act for Coworker’s Family Will Restore Your Faith in Humanity

A teacher’s selfless act for her coworker’s family will restore your faith in humanity. The educator’s love and kindness literally saved a life. Watch the short but powerful clip to see what the teacher did that saved a life because it will restore your faith in humanity, at least momentarily, anyway.

How far are you willing to go to help someone else? Many people would like to believe they’d go to extraordinary lengths to assist another person if they were in a position to do so. But is that true? Again, we’d like to think it was, but then we’d immediately start thinking about how much it would cost us to help another person. What would I lose or have to give up?

Of course, it’s human nature to be concerned about self-preservation. We want to make sure that we’ll be OK and have enough; after that, if we still feel comfortable, we’ll lend our assistance. But is that how Christians are supposed to help and act?

In a clip posted on YouTube, a woman, an elementary teacher, had a coworker whose husband was badly needing a kidney.  Without that transplant, he was not going to survive, and the couple’s two young children would grow up without ever knowing their father.

Understanding the family’s precarious situation, Lillian Johnston went and got tested to see if she was a match, and as it turned out, she was a perfect match. So, Lillian agreed to go under the knife and donated one of her kidneys to Allie Szcecinski’s husband, Brad.

“About 11 years ago, I was in a situation where I almost lost my life,” Lillian said. “And I remember thinking about my kids growing up without mom, and so that’s where my mind went.”

Lillian added that she was never scared but was actually excited.

To make the entire story even more unbelievable, the hospital where the transplant took place is on the cutting edge. Brad, who received the kidney, was not put under during the procedure. And the entire surgery didn’t even take an hour.

Philippians 2:3 “Doing nothing through envy or through pride, but with low thoughts of self, let everyone take others to be better than himself.”

How to Avoid a Broken Cistern

Jeremiah 2: 13 For my people have committed two evils: they have forsaken me, the spring of living water, and have dug out cisterns for themselves, broken cisterns that can hold no water.

A Prayer for God's Presence in Quiet Seasons | Your Daily Prayer

Not every season is filled with breakthrough, noise, or clarity. Some are marked by stillness. Waiting. Silence. And yet, it’s in the quiet where God often does His deepest work. When life slows down or feels directionless, His presence remains faithful. 📖 “The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.” — Exodus 14:14 📖 “Be still, and know that I am God.” — Psalm 46:10 In today’s prayer, we bring the quiet seasons to God—those in-between times when answers seem distant and forward movement feels slow. We ask Him to help us recognize that silence does not equal absence, and that hidden seasons are holy too.

A Prayer When You Don't Have Any Friends | Your Daily Prayer

Loneliness can be one of the most painful and isolating experiences. Whether you're in a new place, navigating rejection, or simply struggling to connect with others, it can feel like you're completely alone. But God's Word promises that even when people feel distant, He is near. 📖 “Turn to me and be gracious to me, for I am lonely and afflicted.” — Psalm 25:16 📖 “Though my father and mother forsake me, the Lord will receive me.” — Psalm 27:10 In today’s prayer, we bring feelings of isolation, rejection, and longing to the One who knows us completely and never leaves us. Jesus understands what it means to be alone—and He offers His perfect companionship. You are deeply loved, fully seen, and never forgotten.

Calming Our Anxious Thoughts | Your Nightly Prayer

Anxiety can steal our peace and even our sleep, but Philippians 4:6 reminds us that God invites us to bring every concern—big or small—to Him. In tonight's evening prayer, Jennifer Slattery, host of the Faith Over Fear show, shares that when fear floods our hearts, we can fix our minds on truth: the Lord is near, He is our refuge, and He will never abandon us. Gratitude is one of the most powerful tools we have against worry. When we thank God for His past faithfulness, we shift our focus from the size of our problems to the strength of our God. The same God who has been your help in the past will continue to protect, provide, and guide you in the future. 📖 Tonight’s Scripture: Philippians 4:6 (NIV) "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God." 🔗 Read more on BibleStudyTools.com 🙏 Your Nightly Prayer Father, Thank You for watching over me and providing for me in every season. You see my concerns and understand the weight of my heart. Quiet my anxious thoughts and help me to rest in Your presence tonight. Fill me with Your truth, and remind me that Your plans for me are good, Your power is unmatched, and Your love never fails. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Grace for When You Mess Up Again | Your Nightly Prayer

Sometimes, the hardest part about grace isn’t believing it exists—it’s believing it applies to you. We can get stuck in cycles of self-condemnation, feeling too broken or too guilty for God’s love to reach us. But the truth of Lamentations 3:22 is that His steadfast love and endless mercy are not contingent on our perfection. In this evening prayer and devotional, Amanda Idleman shares how God spoke into her season of anxiety, depression, and marriage struggles with a simple but life-changing message: “Accept my grace. It’s enough for even this.” Grace takes humility—both to receive it for ourselves and to extend it to others. And once we do, we find freedom from the crushing weight of guilt and shame. No matter how many times you’ve fallen short, His mercy is greater. Accepting grace is the first step toward healing and living in the hope-filled future God desires for you. Tonight’s Scripture: Lamentations 3:22 (ESV) “The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases; his mercies never come to an end.” 🔗 Read more on BibleStudyTools.com

A Prayer for Those in the Trenches of Parenting | Your Daily Prayer

Parenting is holy work—but it’s also hard work. The endless tasks, emotional exhaustion, guilt, and constant demands can leave you feeling like you’re drowning in the daily grind. This prayer is for every mom or dad who feels like they’re failing, tired, or just barely holding it together. 📖 “Let us not grow weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” — Galatians 6:9 In today’s prayer, we ask God to renew strength, restore joy, and remind every parent that He sees them. He’s not waiting for perfection—He’s walking with you in the mess, offering grace for each moment. You are not alone in the trenches.
