The Workers Are Few | Your Daily Prayer

What if God is calling you to something greater than you’ve imagined?

In today’s prayer, we reflect on Jesus’ words in Matthew 9:35–38—“The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few.” These words are not just for the disciples… they are for us today.

Jesus saw the crowds and was filled with compassion. He saw people who were hurting, lost, and searching for hope. And He still sees them today.

The question is:

Will we respond?

Whether you’re called to go across the world or serve right where you are, God invites you to be part of His mission. Even small acts of obedience—praying, giving, sharing your faith—can have eternal impact.

If you’ve ever felt a stirring in your heart to do more for God’s Kingdom, this prayer will help you surrender, listen, and say “yes” to His leading.

A Prayer to Make Things Right with God | Your Daily Prayer

In today’s Your Daily Prayer, we’re reminded of a powerful truth from 1 John 1:9 — “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us.” No matter how far you feel, you are never too far from God’s grace.

Sometimes life gets messy. We carry guilt, regret, or habits that pull us away from God. But the good news is this:

You are only one prayer away from restoration.

God is not waiting to condemn you—He is ready to forgive you, cleanse you, and restore your relationship with Him.

If something in your heart feels off, if your spirit has been nudging you, this is your moment to come back. You don’t have to stay stuck. You don’t have to carry the weight alone.

✨ God’s mercy is still available—right now.

Coach's Words to Opposing Player After Game Will Warm Your Heart

One coach’s words to an opposing player after a game will warm your heart. No one likely saw what this baseball coach said coming, especially to a player on another team. Watch the short but powerful clip to hear what this coach said to a player on the opposing team.

Competition, as it has been said time and time again, brings out the best in everyone. Competition is good and it causes people to rise to the challenge and meet the moment, which are even more sayings that we have all heard whenever the topic of competition is raised. But is that actually true?

We have all seen plenty of examples of players, coaches and parents when they aren’t exactly at their best. Because they have gotten entirely caught up in the moment, they act out in ways that are pretty embarrassing and downright cringeworthy. A lot of people, as evidenced by many social media clips, are horrible losers and, in many cases, even worse winners. What happened to winning and losing with grace and class? Sportsmanship seems to be just about dead.

However, it appears that sportsmanship still has a pulse. A clip posted on social media shows a coach delivering an important, unexpected message to a player on the opposing team.
After the game, as the two teams were going through the line to shake hands, the coach told the player to “come see me in just a second.” What could this coach possibly want to say to this kid on the other team?

“Hey, look, all the talent in the world, the thing that’ll make you go furthest, is what you’re doing over here on third base when these kids are hitting good,” the coach said.

“The best part about you today was how good of a teammate you are,” the coach added. “Telling all these guys, ‘Great hit,’ doing all the things. You keep that up.”

In a world where winning and losing seem to be all that matters, this is a welcome and unexpected message, and one that most people need to hear and grasp.

Colossians 3:17 “And whatever you do, in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving praise to God the Father through him.”

Heroic School Principal Prevents School Shooting, Tackles Suspect

A heroic school principal prevented a school shooting by tackling the suspect. The school administrator put his life and safety on the line, with his actions stopping what could have been a tragic situation. Watch the short but jaw-dropping clip to see what this principal did that will have you agreeing that this man is the definition of the word hero.

Violence is, unfortunately, all too real in our fallen and lost world. Seemingly everywhere we look people are inflicting pain and hurt upon someone else for really no discernible reason other than that they can. Turn on any news broadcast, and you’re immediately met with images of war and violence in the Middle East, with nations attacking each other, resulting in needless death and destruction.

But the Middle East is far from the only area of the world that is full of violence and cruelty. Sadly, even our nation’s schools, the places where children are sent every day to learn, have been targets of violence, where innocent little children have been gunned down. What kind of person would walk into a school and start indiscriminately shooting at people? Anyone who would desire to hurt a child is the worst, most despicable type of evil.

In a clip posted on YouTube, a school principal faced down this evil and literally tackled it to the ground. He heroically put his life on the line and stopped a man who entered the school with a gun in his hand, who was obviously set on causing death and destruction.

The eye-popping surveillance video shows the gunman entering the school and then seconds later, the school principal barrels toward him. He wrestled him to the ground before he could bring about harm to anyone.

The clip does mention that the principal did sustain a gunshot wound to the leg. He is expected to make a full recovery and return to work shortly.

Psalm 11:5 “The Lord puts the upright and the sinner to the test, but he has hate in his soul for the lover of violent acts.”

You Don't Have to Control Everything | Your Daily Prayer

re you trying to hold everything together… and feeling completely exhausted?

In today’s Your Daily Prayer, we’re reminded that we were never meant to carry it all. Based on 2 Corinthians 3:5 — “Our sufficiency is from God,” this devotional invites you to release control and rest in God’s strength.

When life feels overwhelming—when responsibilities pile up and anxiety rises—it’s easy to believe it’s all up to you. But the truth is:

You are not the source of your strength. God is.

If you’re feeling stretched thin, anxious, or burdened by trying to control everything, this prayer will help you let go and trust God’s perfect provision.

✨ You don’t have to carry what God never asked you to hold.

Faith That Moves Mountains: Trusting God Through Loss with Kristen Rickards

Don't forget to grab your free scripture journal at https://prayingchristianwomen.com/journal today!

What do you do when God gives you a miracle — and then it looks like He's taken it away?

This week, musician, author, and worship artist Kristen Rickards joins Jaime for an honest and hope-filled conversation about trusting God through seasons of devastating loss, unexplainable health battles, and the kind of waiting that tests everything you thought you believed.

In this episode, Kristen shares her journey from child actress and pageant winner to Christian worship leader and author — and the painful season of two miscarriages and a health crisis that nearly shook her faith to its core. She opens up about what it felt like to be angry with God, to pull back from prayer, and the moment she realized she couldn't stay in that place for long.

Kristen also unpacks the powerful story of the Shunammite woman from 2 Kings — a mother who watched her promised son die and still declared "all is well" as she ran toward the man of God — and how that story mirrors the faith required when our own dreams look dead. She reminds us that God doesn't punish us for our doubt; He rewards us for our faith, even when it's only the size of a mustard seed.

You'll walk away encouraged that no pain is wasted, that it's okay to come to God imperfectly, and that the dreams you've written off may be exactly what He's about to breathe life into again.

In Heartwarming Move, Students Show Up to Classmate's Adoption Ceremony

In a heartwarming move, students showed up to their classmate’s adoption ceremony. The little ones looked on as one of their buddies was officially adopted. Watch the short but tear-jerking clip to see and hear more about the child being legally adopted and about the special audience members.

All children deserve a happy, safe and loving place to call home. They have a right to be with people – a family - who will look after them and tend to their needs. Who wouldn’t want that? Those are situations and environments in which children can and will blossom and thrive.

Living in a safe environment and being around good, trustworthy and decent people shouldn’t be too much to ask, right? However, sadly, that is not the reality for far too many children. Many children throughout the country are removed from their homes for whatever reason and placed in foster homes. Once in the foster system, many then bounce from one home to another until they are 18. At that point, they are expected to live on their own, without having ever received any guidance or instruction.

But as a clip posted on YouTube shows, one young man will no longer be moved from foster home to foster home. That’s because he was officially adopted.

“I’ll happily approve this adoption and grant your name change,” the judge said, as the room erupted with a round of applause.

To make that special moment even sweeter, the little guy’s classmates were on hand to witness him get adopted.  As the clip mentions, nearly every one of his 50 classmates was in attendance to watch the 11-year-old get adopted.

When talking about what it meant to have his classmates there to see him get adopted, the young man got choked up.

“It was very fun and very emotional,” the 11-year-old said. “And I had a great time, and I appreciate all my friends coming with me.”

How to Rise from Life’s Wreckage and Reclaim Your Hope – Episode 363

What would you do if your life changed in an instant, and nothing looked the way you thought it would? My guest, Sheryl Ramstad, faced that very question after surviving a devastating plane crash with less than a 1% chance of survival. What could have been the end of her story became the beginning of something entirely new. In this conversation, we talk about what it looks like to move forward when life feels shattered, how faith sustains you in the hardest moments, and why your greatest pain may become the place God’s purpose shines the brightest.

The Unique Way Some Refs Honor Indiana's Basketball History and the Beloved Film 'Hoosiers'

A group of referees has found a unique way to honor Indiana’s basketball history and the beloved film “Hoosiers.” Not only is their method of remembering the Hoosier state’s basketball legacy interesting, but it’s also pretty stylish. Watch the short but insightful clip to hear why these referees are all sporting the same jacket.

It has been said that in 49 states it’s just basketball, but this is Indiana. Being a Hoosier myself, I can attest that the statement about basketball is 100 percent true. People in Indiana love themselves some basketball, and it doesn’t matter at what level, either. High school, college and the professional level – Hoosiers cannot get enough of basketball.

There is a rich history of basketball in the Midwestern state. The state has produced such legends of the game as Larry Bird, Steve Alford, Oscar Robertson, Calbert Cheaney, George McGinnis and John Wooden. Also, the greatest sports movie of all time is based on a team in Indiana - Milan High School. Of course, who could forget Bobby Plump’s last-second shot to win the state championship, which remains legendary to this day.

In a YouTube clip, these referees explained why their jackets symbolize and honor basketball in Indiana. The group of referees, who call themselves the Hickory Husker Club, wear maroon and gold-colored jackets with a large H on the front – the same one worn in the movie “Hoosiers.”

But basketball in Indiana means so much more than the final score of a game or a team’s
win-loss record at the end of a long season. It’s symbolic of the kinds of people who occupy the Hoosier state.

“It’s culture, it’s tradition, it’s family values, it’s the little guy against the big guy,” a member of the Hickory Husker Club said.

Bobby Plump, the man who hit that game-winning shot back in 1954, said the movie Hoosiers is memorable for several reasons.

“It isn’t just about basketball,” Bobby Plump said. “It’s about second chances, just like life, you know? Nobody wins everything they’ve ever tried. That’s basically what the movie is all about, wrapped around the most important sport in Indiana: basketball.”

2 Timothy 2:5 “And if a man takes part in a competition, he does not get the crown if he has not kept the rules.”

Woman Shares Powerful Testimony About God's Healing Touch

A woman shared a powerful testimony about God’s healing touch. Her tear-jerking story demonstrates that He is alive and at work, still in the business of doing miracles. Watch the short but moving clip to hear her talk about how she literally felt the healing touch of God in her life.

Most people would likely say that miracles do not occur today. They would probably add that miracles are things that we read about in the Bible and only happened in Biblical times. People like Noah, Moses, Lazarus and Daniel experienced and witnessed miracles, but not individuals today, they’d say.

But is that the case? Do miracles not take place in today’s day and age? Is God just sitting back with His feet up, watching things take place? Does God not intervene any longer? Well, that’s not what the Bible says; Jesus instructs us to pray and believe that we have received it, and it shall be done. That statement would also seem to include miracles, instances when we ask God to get involved and dramatically change a situation.

In a clip posted on YouTube, a young woman was asked to return after a routine medical evaluation for further tests. A test revealed a mass in her pancreas. She was facing the very real possibility of cancer.  Of course, this would be a frightening situation for anyone. No one wants to hear that from their doctor.

So, what did she do? She received anointing, and there were prayers said about her medical situation before she went in for more tests. But right before she went in, while waiting in her car, she began singing, “Open the Eyes of My Heart.”  It was while she was singing that she said she felt something unexpected happen.

Later, after receiving her results, there was nothing. The doctor told her everything was perfect and that nothing showed up in the scan.

Philippians 4:6 “In nothing be anxious; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.”

A Prayer to Get Through a Hard Season | Your Daily Prayer

Are you walking through a difficult season that feels like it will never end?

In today’s Your Daily Prayer, we’re reminded that even the hardest seasons—like winter—are temporary. Based on Song of Songs 2:10–12, this devotional encourages you to hold onto hope, even when life feels cold, heavy, and uncertain.

Just like winter gives way to spring, your current season will not last forever. God is still working beneath the surface, preparing growth you may not yet see.

If you’re feeling exhausted, overwhelmed, or stuck in a cycle of challenges, this prayer will help you persevere with faith and trust in God’s timing.

✨ Spring is coming—physically and spiritually.

📖 KEY BIBLE VERSES

  • Song of Songs 2:10–12 — “See! The winter is past…”
  • James 1:2–4 — “The testing of your faith produces perseverance.”
  • Isaiah 43:19 — “See, I am doing a new thing…”

When You Feel Spiritually Tired | Your Nightly Prayer

Do you feel spiritually exhausted… like you have nothing left to give?

Tonight’s Your Nightly Prayer is for the moments when your soul feels tired, your prayers feel empty, and your faith feels distant. Based on Exodus 33:14 — “My presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.”

Even the most faithful believers reach a point of weariness. Like Moses, you may feel like you’ve hit a wall—carrying too much for too long.

But here’s the truth:

You don’t have to push harder. You don’t have to manufacture faith.

You just need God’s presence.

If you’re feeling drained, numb, or overwhelmed tonight, this prayer will help you release what you’ve been carrying and receive the deep rest only God can give.

✨ You are not alone. God is still with you—even here.

A Prayer When You Need God to Fight for You | Your Daily Prayer

This prayer is a beautiful reminder that some battles are too big for us to fight alone. When we're faced with seemingly insurmountable challenges, God's promise is to fight for us, and all we need to do is be still and trust. Rachel's prayer encourages us to surrender our fears and doubts, knowing that God is working behind the scenes. By trusting in His goodness and power, we can find peace and comfort in the midst of uncertainty. This prayer is a powerful tool for anyone facing a difficult situation, reminding us that God is always fighting for us.
