The River City Good Time Band (1979-1983) was a group of 16 extraordinary developmentally disabled singers and instrumentalists. Under the direction of Jan and Carole Brewer, the band recorded two albums and performed over 200 times, wowing audiences in the U.S., Denmark, and Iceland. The group performed on the steps of the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C. and received numerous awards including a commendation from The President's Committee on Employment for the Handicapped.
